Charles Asirra Eguma is the Ag. Head, Technical Unit at National Centre for Energy Efficiency and Conservation. With a background in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Charles joined the Centre in 2009 as Graduate Technologist and has over nine years of Research and Training experience. His Research interests spans Wind Energy Conversion, Solar Photovoltaic Systems Design and Analysis, Electricity End-Use Efficiency Monitoring, Building Energy Audit, Energy Management, and Codes and Standards Development. Charles has co-authored several research articles centered on Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency and Environmental Sustainability. His Professional Networks include; the International Network for Government Science Advice (INGSA), African Network for Solar Energy (ANSOLE), and African Urban Metabolism Network (AUM)-an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in USA and the Sustainability Institute at Stellenbosch University, in South Africa. He Oversees and coordinates the general activities of the technical unit and work closely with other units to realize the mandates of the Centre. Charles presently is a Member and National Technical Expert in the ISO/TC 301 Technical Committee on Energy management and Savings.
