Overview of NCEEC, NCEEC Quality Objective & NCEEC Mission Statement

Energy efficiency and conservation is of such paramount importance in energy concept and energy delivery as a whole that the Energy commission of Nigeria decided to establish a centre to cater solely or issues pertaining to it. Its importance stems from the fat that; the practice of efficiency and conservation is by far the most economical and environmentally benign way of ‘generating’ energy rather than producing it directly. In energy conservation, one simply tries to make the energy produced go further. Efficiency has to do with getting the maximum output for a given amount of energy input into any system. The idea is to prevent the energy being converted to an unwanted form. Therefore, whatever source of energy we are using, energy efficiency and conservation is still relevant because direct energy generation by which ever mans, weather from renewable or non-renewable sources, costs money and time taking several years in planning and implementation.
